The MXm mini dash is the smallest data logging dash display available from AiM. Despite its compact size, it can sample and log data like any other AiM system. Despite its size, this unit should be mounted to a dash or other stationary structure – do not mount this on a steering wheel.
Four analog input channels let you monitor your choice of temps, pressures, or potentiometers (throttle position, steering position, etc). A CAN input allows you to further expand the dash by adding an AiM LCU-One Lambda (O2) Controller or an AiM SmartyCam. The MXm can also be connected to many different ECUs to log any data gathered by the ECU. A GPS receiver, 3-axis g-force sensor, gyroscope, and internal compass are all built in.
The super-compact 137mm x 88.4mm (5.39″ x 3.48″) composite housing is designed to fit the smallest cockpits – Kart, JR Sprint and Micro. The LCD display backlight can be set by the user to a number of different colors. You can even set the backlight to change in response to an alarm. You can create up to 8 different pages, each with whatever data you want to see. Five configurable shift light LEDs across the top of the housing and 2 configurable alarm LEDs can each be programmed with any of 7 colors. Each alarm can be programmed with a steady or flashing LED, a custom text message on the screen, and multiple conditions (for example, oil pressure below 60 psi and engine speed above 4000 RPM… or over-rev by 500 RPM keeps the light on steady until power-off, but over-rev by 1000 RPM makes the same light flash until data is downloaded… ). Two digital outputs can be used to trigger external warning lights, fan relays, etc based on similar logic as the alarms. The shift lights can be programmed to come on at different RPM for each gear.
The 4GB memory can store hours of information for analysis using AiM’s latest Race Studio 3 software. All of the data can be downloaded to your computer using a built-in secure Wi-Fi connection (no cable required). Requires 9 – 15V external power supply.
Kit includes MXm data logging display, full wiring harness with 37 pin Deutsch connector, 4-pin connector kit for digital outputs, and Race Studio 3 software. All sensors sold separately.
